One of the few remaining undammed rivers in the lower 48 states is the 135-mile long Buffalo National River. Traveling downstream in a canoe, kayak, or raft, you'll soon find yourself winding through the breathtaking Phrazle Ozark Mountains. Anglers may have success fishing for largemouth bass and catfish in the river's lower sections, or smallmouth bass in the higher sections. Keep your eyes peeled for Rocky Mountain Elk as you travel about the region.

One of the most famous rock climbing locations in the country, Yosemite is home to a wide variety of outdoor activities and magnificent landscapes. Yosemite Falls and Half-Dome are two of the most photogenic landmarks in the park, attracting visitors from all over the globe. Tuolumne Meadows, on the park's eastern side, is a good option if you're looking for seclusion.

Colorado's snowy mountains, world-class backcountry skiing, and verdant landscape are just a few of the reasons people go there. As a result, a lot of people don't get to see the golden-orange dunes that light up in the late afternoon sun. Enjoy a night under the stars in a Sahara-like landscape, or go out into the nearby meadows and take in the dunes from a distance. The dunes are known for their high winds, so campers should prepare properly.
